Some Quick Tips for Tailgating (with recipes)

Football season is upon us and that can mean partying, tailgating and delicious Gameday food! Let us help you feed your hungry section with these tips and recipes for preparing your bison meat for the big game!

Asian Bison Meatballs - These can be prepared ahead of time and placed in a crockpot (on low heat). Leave them out all day for appetizers & snack food. Place cocktail forks or toothpicks and small plates next to the crockpot for guests to help themselves.

BBQ Bison Sandwiches - No cooking involved! Place desired amount of our BBQ Bison in your crockpot with your favorite BBQ sauce. Heat over medium low heat until warmed. Serve with buns!

Bison Bierock - If you're cheering at home, these can be prepared ahead of time and placed in the oven just before kickoff - or during halftime. These delicious entrees will be a hit!

Bison Blue Cheese Burger - If you'd like to do more than simply grill up burgers and set out condiments, try these bison blue cheese burgers. Make the patties ahead of time and keep in a cooler or the refrigerator until ready to grill.

Bison Sloppy Joes - An easy fall favorite! Make the sloppy joes ahead of time, place in a crockpot (on low heat) to keep warm, set out with your favorite buns and everyone can eat as they please. Set out condiments like ketchup, mustard, pickles & onions for garnishes.

Bison Sliders - Another idea away from the classic bison burger. These will take some extra work, but are well worth it. Make the patties ahead of time and keep in a cooler or refrigerator until ready to grill. Set the toppings out for guests to help themselves.

Classic Bison Burger and/or Steaks -  You can never go wrong grilling up some of our pre-formed Bison Burger Patties and setting out buns, ketchup, mustard, onions & pickles. Same with our dry aged Bison Steaks. Grill 'em up, set out the steak sauce and you're good to go!

Rustic Bison Chili - A gameday favorite for cool fall days! Cook before kickoff (or before you leave for tailgating) and place in a crockpot on low heat. Let fans fill their bowls as they please. Serve with cinnamon rolls, crackers, bread, salad or finger food!

Savory Oven Roasted BBQ Meatballs - Form meatballs a little smaller than recommended. Cook these ahead of time and place in a crockpot (on low heat) with barbecue sauce for a delicious snack or appetizer. Leave them out all day for appetizers & snack food. Place cocktail forks or toothpicks and small plates next to the crockpot for guests to help themselves.
