What does Bison Taste like?
Bison meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. It has a rich and slightly sweet taste, which can be described as "light" or "clean" tasting. Our responsibly ranch raised philosophy and the freedom of our animals to graze and roam around the ranch, ensures that our meat is of exceptional quality in taste, tenderness and appearance.
Initially we were told by a lot of people that it was impossible to make items like hot dogs and sausages using only bison meat due to its leanness. Luckily, we've found great people to partner with who have helped us prove them wrong and create delicious bison products without the use of fattier meats!
How will this meat arrive?
The Bison Sausages are vacuum sealed in packages of 4. We then place 4 packages into a carton for a total of 16 sausages per carton.
Your carton of Bison Italian Sausages (and any other items you order) is placed in a cooler with dry ice to ensure that it stays frozen and cold during shipping. Even if your meat does not arrive still completely frozen (although most of the time it will), as long as it arrive cold to the touch, it is completely safe to re-freeze and cook.
