Bison meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. It has a rich and slightly sweet taste, which can be described as "light" or "clean" tasting. How should I cook the Bison Prime Rib?

How will this meat arrive?

The Bison Prime Rib is vacuum sealed and placed in a box to protect it during storage and shipping.

Your Prime Rib (and any other items you order) will be placed in a cooler with dry ice to ensure that it stays frozen and cold during shipping. Even if your meat does not arrive still completely frozen (although most of the time it will), as long as it arrive cold to the touch, it is completely safe to re-freeze.

  • I am not able to watch the video, poor service. Are you able to give me the cooking instructions for my Bison prime rib purchase?

    Yes! Here are the written instructions:

  • I want some of this "best prime rib ever!" Thing is, I need an 8-lb no-bone roast; your only size appears to be 4-lb. I really don't want to buy two (2) 4-lbers for cooking reasons. Is there any way I can get a larger roast? Would very much like to do it in time for Christmas 2019; as I write this, it's Monday, 16 Dec 19 at about 1125PST.

    I understand about the larger roast, but so far unfortunately we haven't been able to do any larger sizes than the current 4 lb. I'm hopeful that in the future we may be able to add a second option in this cut.

  • How long will it take to thaw your bison rib roast in the refrigerator?

    A 4 lb cut typically takes about 24 hours to thaw, always best to give it extra time if possible, just to be sure.
