Bison meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. It has a rich and slightly sweet taste, which can be described as "light" or "clean" tasting. Our responsibly ranch raised philosophy and the freedom of our animals to graze and roam around the ranch, ensures that our meat is of exceptional quality in taste, tenderness and appearance. Initially we were told by a lot of people that it was impossible to make items like hot dogs and sausages using only bison meat due to its leanness. Luckily, we've found great people to partner with who have helped us prove them wrong and create delicious bison products without the use of fattier meats!
The Bison Summer Sausage is vacuum sealed in 8 oz. rolls. In our Variety pack, you receive 1 rolls of each version (plain, BBQ Peppercheese & jalapeno/cheddar).
These sausages are shelf stable and don't require refrigeration prior to opening the package. However, if they are ordered alongside any of our frozen items, they will be shipped in a cooler with dry ice.
